SQA Fitness Leader Awards 
 
Ante/Postnatal Physical Activity

This award equips instructors with the essential knowledge on how to manage Ante and Postnatal exercise safely and effectively, covering studio, water and gym-based activities.

Exercise to Music Award
(Level 1)

Provides the skills required to deliver a group fitness activity to music, combining human anatomy and physiology theory with practical teaching.

First Aid at Work
Covering the practical skills needed by a first aider in the modern workplace.
Gym Instructor Award (Level 1)A vocational qualification for those looking to progress in a health and fitness career path, it covers gym inductions, one-to-one consultations and programming skills. There is an opportunity for progression onto a Level 2 award which is accredited by Fitness Scotland and eligible for entry onto the Register for Exercise Professionals (REPs)
Strength and Conditioning
A new award, for candidates who have already completed a Level 1 or 2 Gym Instructor Award. Upon completion, you will be able to teach effective strength, power and conditioning techniques and critically evaluate training plans. 
Meaningful Activities for People with Dementia Award (Level 1)
Designed for carers responsible for co-ordinating activities for people with dementia within a care setting, the award is also suitable for all carers and co-ordinators.
STA Certificate NaRs Pool Lifeguard
Training lifeguards in pool rescue, CPR techniques, first aid and to be competent to deal with poolside emergencies in accordance with sections 140–185 of Managing Health and Safety in Swimming Pools.

Scottish FA Level 1 Early Touches
Open to anyone aged 16+, who works with children of primary school age, it develops coaching technique and skill development.
Scottish FA Level 2 Coaching Young Footballers
Planning, preparing and evaluating coaching sessions, it focuses on coaching style and practices to suit the wide range of abilities within the primary school age group.
Scottish FA Level 3 Coaching the Game
A practical course looking at the knowledge and understanding to help young players appreciate width, depth and support within the small-sided game.
